NOTICE TO CAT OWNERS

NOTICE TO ALL TOWN OF CAMPBELL CAT OWNERS

  Pursuant to Ordinance 6-40, notice is hereby given to all owners of cats in the Town of Campbell, La Crosse County that rabies vaccinations and cat licenses are required.

   Vaccination by a veterinarian against rabies of all cats is required within 30 days after the cat reaches 4 months of age and revaccinated within one year after the initial vaccination.  Older vaccinated cats must be revaccinated when the certificate expires or within 3 years of the previous vaccination.  Certificates of current vaccination must be presented when obtaining cat licenses.

   All cats 5 months of age or older require a license.  The minimum license fee for neutered males or spayed females is $11.00 upon presentation of evidence attesting to the same, and $21.00 for an unneutered male or unspayed female cat.

   INCREASED PENALTIES:  A late fee of $25.00 shall be assessed the owner of each cat 5 months of age or over who fails to obtain a cat license by April 1st.

   An owner who fails to have a cat vaccinated against rabies or licensed as required by Town of Campbell Ordinance may receive a citation.
