IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THOSE LIVING IN THE AREA SOUTH AND EAST OF THE AIRPORT
The City of La Crosse will be holding a press conference at 3 p.m. to discuss PFAS (Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) found in two City wells and groundwater samples.
In an abundance of caution, the City is proposing a testing area of 120-130 private wells in the Town of Campbell. The testing is voluntary and will be offered at no cost. The City will also be holding a public information session on October 29 at 5 p.m. and will be mailing information to affected property owners.
Livestream for the public 3pm October 12:
Campbell Town Hall is currently closed to the public indefinitely due to the recent outbreak of new COVID-19 cases in La Crosse County. The Town Hall staff will be working in their normal capacity during business hours and available to assist by telephone. There will be a drop box at the rear of the building for anything you need to drop off. The drop box will be checked daily.
The Police Department lobby will also be closed to the public, so please contact us by phone at (608) 785-5942 for non-emergent complaints and business questions. As always, dial 911 in the event of an emergency.
